    Favorite Shifter Knob

I am getting kinda tired of my hurst big ball shifter.

Looking for some input on a new one. Looking for more comfort than anything. Any ideas? Let me see what you have!

The one I got looks similar to that with the metal/o-rings although it still has the factory mushroom shape. I painted the metal parts to match the exterior of the car since I do not have any billit pieces inside. The top of it actually has a push button that lights up a blue led by battery. It came with a 5-speed and a 6-speed shifter pattern to go inside the button but I sanded that off and then buffed it smooth again. After that I printed up a simple black mustang pony logo and put it under the button so that the white pony logo lights up when I push it.

As for the metal part getting hot, I keep a sock under my seat.

Yeah I used to have a "tremec" 5 speed shifter ball similar to yours boomshakalaka except it was metal not black. It did get quite hot during those summer days but I would put a hat on the shifter and it would work like a charm, I suppose a sock might work better though lol

I had one of those in my old GT. VERY nice, but renders the front cup-holder complete useless.

I would agree, I really like mine but the only thing I can put in the front cup holder is my remote for my XM. Even putting a drink in the second cup holder makes it sometimes a pain to shift.
