Thread: HPS Club Day at Speedworld 11-19-06

Sorry to be the one responsible for the down time this afternoon guys. I don't mind breaking and screwing up my day since that goes with racing BUT it sucked to make everybody else wait. My apologies to those that had to wait for the mess to get cleaned up. I tried to get it shut down and off to the side as soon as I could but the mess was already made. Again sorry to put a damper on a great day-especially since it was so damn hot.

That was supposed to be my final pass (and actually it was) for the next year and half- I leave the first week of January for Ft Bragg and then on to Afghanistan. I was trying to get in as many passes as I could since this was going to be my last trip to the track. Somehow I hoped it would have ended a little better but that is racing I guess.

Not sure what happened yet because I just got home a few minutes ago but I think I cracked the case and I know third gear is probably gone. Not sure what else went but I am sure it is pretty ugly in there. That was the third tranny and the second built TKO 500 I have destroyed in the car. Thinking about going with a built auto to go with the new motor.

It was definetely a blast, and thanks to all who helped put this thing together. I have also gotta say thanks to all those who where there not only as organizers, but just the people who came out to run. Its great when you don't even know somebody and they let you use their tools, and equipment (Performance Solutions, ronb0410) or just help you line up ur car, or watch your run to let you know whats going on (john also known as diehard).

Also looking forward to future events. It would be great if HPS and Copperstate could just get the track to ourselves.

No problem at all, sorry the tranny had to take a poop. Good luck in Afghan, and look forward to seeing a very fast Mach upon your return.

It was nice meeting a few of you guys today. I didn't get to talk to as many people as I would have liked too. Copperstate and HPS both did a great job of putting this on.

    I have your 11.6? run on video...maybe it was 11.3 can't remember.

I have a couple of other videos that i will be uploading as soon as I have a firewire card to upload them to.

Thanks again to Ernie(2nd2nunn) for running my car today, best run was an 11.94@113 Blk Fox N/A setup if any of you saw it. Same car that was next to the Blue Mach that broke down.

speaking of, the wait wasn't to bad for the cleanup on the blue Mach, it was the Triumph that spread oil all the way down the track that put a damper on everything.
