    Parking brake light turns on

    Hey ive got a question. Ok so when im driving and i hit the brakes hard but not locking them up my parking brake light will come on and then when i let off the brake pedal it will turn off....??? any ideas? suggestions? Thanks

    I think that is your ABS light as well. Not sure on that tho.

    I believe that you are correct, something to do with the abs.

    probably low on brake fluid. just above the minimum, then you hit the brakes, the car lunges, the fluid swishes away from the sensor, and bam light on

    Your Ford abs light will say (ABS) in amber!! Your red brake light is either telling you that you are low on fluid or your parking brake is applied....

    remember, brake fluid is only low because it has gone somewhere. either something is leaking, or its time for brakes (or it was bled at one point and not filled up correctly)
