Ford has really been cracking down on using anything that they consider a trade mark being created and sold. So if the sticker had a Mustang in it there could be issues. Using the word Stangs could also be an issue. I have no desire to get involved in issues.

Yea i realize what your sayin. I remember ford cracking down about like using calendars and stuff like that but I have seen many clubs using stickers with their club names and having like outlines of a mustang in the sticker. maybe is their some way we could contact ford and get authorization?

I know it would be a legal thing but if we were able to contact fomoco and get their authorization to just creat stickers for the club using a mustang outline and highperformancestangs.com on there. ive seen many many other clubs using names and stuff in their stickers such camaro5.com etc. im just really excited about this because it would give us a chance for people to recognize hps.

Just make the "S" in stangs with a dollar sign so it says $tangs, that way it doesnt really say stangs so ford cant bitch about it and it looks like we have money

I was gonna say just have it be HPS almost like a sponsership sticker like NOS, just the three letters in like blue or white or whatever color really

Is there any way to use the name and make it into a Chapter here for Az? Then the ownership would be here. As long as it doesn't have the blue oval or state the word FORD then there shouldn't be any infringement issues.

I always see other forums and clubs using the mustang name and picture for decals. Wouldnt it be ok if we just used them as a local club decal?

It seems like this is going to be a dead thread. The owners would have jumped on this allready if they wanted representation of a "club if you will" driving around Az. Advertising has been the key for decades right?
