Well that's a horse of a different color. lol. Considering it's a pretty stout motor I'd say step up to a D1SC (go 8-rib & 3 core IC) and that should easily get you where you want to be, as well as leave room for more power in the future. You could always go the turbo route too... It really just depends on where you want to draw the line. Personally, I had a Procharger and am now in the process of going turbo (very common transition). Your budget should be plenty to do either, especially if you install it yourself. Just my $.02
