Arrow Inside a 40 Year Old Motor

So we cracked it all open today this is what we saw. Car is 1969, 84k miles, never rebuilt. putting new push rods in all new gaskets wanting a 4 barrel carb with manifold (obviously) making sure the springs are tight and cleaning the heads. doing this off of a $200 dollar savings. If you have anything you thing laying around or your interested in giving a hand due to boredom P.m. me and ill let you know if im interested. i do take cash/check/parts donations!!!

thanks! i along with Rich (Cougar Man) and Rick are helping me and teaching as we go and they all are amazed at just how amazing the inside of this car look very little carbon build up for 85k miles and it being 40 years old! this weekend we will be trying to get most of it back together. the only thing i dont have on this pay check is the water pump.....but do some "extra" chores from my mom and i could prolly get it :P

I remember those days..... I built jacked up small block chevy motor in high school
and dropped it in a 1974 Camaro. I remember figuring what parts I could buy on my busboy paycheck. Those were some fun times. Enjoy the process!
