I run stock cobra front brakes with a 1" baer slip on spacer with Centerline Convo Pro wheels. The centerlines are not as thick of a rim in the area where the studs pass thru so everything is legal.

On a weld wheel the studs will not protrude into the lugs far enough to be NHRA legal with a 1" spacer.

Depends on what length front studs are used. I ran 3.5" ARP's and they were legal, the studs made it right to the end of the lugnut with a Prostar and 1" spacer.

Not legal. The first 1/2" of the stud is not threaded. It may have looked legal, but a 1" spacer with a pro star does not engage the threaded portion of the lug as depicted in the diagram above.

aah? good point. plus i would feel safer with knowing that the wheel is on tight.

You still have to run a spacer with GT brakes. GT PBR calipers are nearly the same size as Cobra PBR's.
