when/where is the airshow at?
Cross country flights.. They've been doing those for years. They come in from the west, over north Gilbert, swing north over Mesa and land at SH. It's usually 3-4 birds every other weekend. I've seen them fly over my house now for years. For a while they would fly by between noon and 2pm on Sat or Sun. Their sound is very distinctive over commercial jets and the first thing I do is run outside and see what they are. Most of the time they are F18's.
I also seem to be in the flight path for Gateway. Military birds will fly low over my house on a sw to ne pattern and then swing a hard right to land at GW. I've seen some pretty cool aircraft fly. There's one plane that flys over every Sun night about 11:30pm extremely low and has some unique formation lights, and it also lands at GW...
Not sure what was flying in our night skies if not Luke doing some night missions or returning from some Fly Overs. Will see what I can find out.
