great detail on the thread man.
im about to do this swap. I think its a must for a turbo car looking for good times at the track.

Ive just gotten really sick of pulling this "built" T45 all the time.
ive pulled it for the last time.

    couple questions for ya though,
how do you plan on doing the wiring? like the speedo and reverse lights?

I used the front ABS senors for the speedo. I dumped my ABS when I went with the solid axle with 9" ends.
Here is how I did it.

The shifter I used has a switch for the backup lights and neutral safety.

I just tapped into the stock tranny harness for the revers lights.

Then you just tap into the clutch safety switch (near the pedal) for the safety lockout. So the car will only start in Park or Neutral with the auto to be NHRA legal and safe.

The B&M cooler has been working great in the 100+ Arizona temps. I see 160 cruising around on the streets. I have not seen anything over 180 after spirited driving up to the speed limit.

LOL maybe this weekend. It is hot here now, but it should cool to the 80's during the late night runs. I have to get the two step wired into the transbrake switch.

your doing the two step and the transbrake?
just for launching purposes? so you can just put it up on the two step at 4 grand(or whatever) and not worry about looking at your rpms for the launch?

ive heard of the stick guys doing the two step to help build boost, but not really the auto guys.

Great job Jeff. Did you ever think about going with the 4l80e? I cant wait to see how it does at the track.
