Servers cost money for a site of this size and traffic.

I'm aware of that. I'm just inquiring what company is hosting this site. I can't see the bandwidth exceeding 200 GB and that normally goes for 20-40 dollars a month.

Sure on a shared server with 200 other sites (We moved off of this type of setup last year because the site became very slow)

Shared servers are for static sites, not busy vbulletin forums.

This site can not run in that type of limited resource environment.

Bandwidth isn't even a factor at this point, but server RAM and database performance is.

I have access to a dedicated server, its not really mine its my web design guru that's my friend and someone Ive known for 10 years. Anyway he says depending on how much bandwidth the site uses he could save you a bundle from the 1055. Let me know Jeff if your interested and Ill hook you up with his number and you all can talk. Hes a good guy his name is Jason. He also lives in Texas.

Thanks for the offer Joe, but the support from realwebhost is top notch. I have no plans to leave them.

    Gotcha.
Your paying about double what hosting can cost. But I understand, once your comfortable with someone that's usually where most stay. Just wanted to put it out there to help.

You find a fully managed Linux VPS server with 1 GB of Ram / CPanel
for half of my cost and I will buy you a case of beer.

Not even Go Daddy offers anything near 1/2 my price.

In the vbulletin community www.realwebhost.net is a well respected host.

I have been down the cheap road in the beginning. You get what you pay for.
