Two Questions - Help
Hello,
I have two questions. One, I am trying to decode the date on the carb on my car to see if I have the right one or of somehow it got swapped with another one in our storage garage. The little tag on the carb says:
C5ZF C
C 5DB
The books I have say that the D in the code, would mean April but is it of 1964 or 1965? The data platedecoder says D is April of 1964. My car was build 10/29/64 (29K early fastback). Would the carb be sitting around for months until it got put on a car?
The other question I have is, does anyone who has a 1965 or 1966 fastback been able to find the plastic screw caps that go in the trunk around the screws that go around the trap door? I have looked online and through every mustang catalog and can't find them at all.
Thanks,
Chris

To get an answer on that carb I would go to VMF. Vintage Mustang Forum
As for the caps. I never knew there was any. I don't have them. Check VMF also.
