    Buying a Used Xcal

Rather than risking the motor Im thinking about getting it tuned to be on the safe side until I get mod crazy. Found an XCal 2 but not sure if it will work for me.

    These are the pics:

It says stock so im assuming its not married? What does 5 changes left mean?

Heres my dyno(notice exhaust at the end) and heres my sheet. A/F hit 12.0 near the end.

I only have intake/exhaust with a catted mid pipe. No major mods planned but I dont want to risk anything in the meantime.

Do I need a tune or should I just run 93 octane or octane booster?

You can return the car to stock 5 times then the unit is locked out.

This is to prevent someone from using it on multiple cars a bunch of times.

Got it. That wont be a problem. Since theres no good tuners locally, would this be what you suggest since I am not modded like crazy?

Unless you have a wideband, laptop and the ability to datalog I do not recommend email custom tunes.

I don't think 93 octane is available anywhere in arizona. thought our highest (other than racing gas) was 91.
