Sure they can, he drives his car all the time as did I on 90/10s back in the day.
Yes the adjustables can be made stiffer for a better street ride, but tons drive on 90/10s everyday...no big deal.

i compensated with the spring, and it works just fine. with the stiffer spring, its not bad at all. but with the 175, it was bottoming out, and just felt overly slopy on the road and at the track. but the front feels fine now with the setup. i had a good friend watch my launch and he feels that my back shocks are not doing thier job as well, and thus the desire to get better rear shocks. i am not debating about the setup in the front, as its doing its job nicely.
You can do much more than "poke around with them" as you said thats my point. The fine tuning of these adj struts are for drag to road race, you find a happy medium for street use....it's nice to have the adjustability but far from a nessecity. The one setting 90/10...70/30 or whatever will work just fine on the street, and will not deminish the driving ability of the car (wont corner like a adj set-up for that)....you can do much more than "poke around"
You said they are to soft for actual street use as well, which is wrong. I said tons drive on the street with these daily with no issues. I use to think that to, untill I ran them.
Now that I wrote a book, maybe I make sense.

The entire issue is weight transfer. The 90/10's are working fine with the 225 spring for Tony on the street, but that is not the optimum spring for the best 60ft time.
My tokico drag struts with a 175 lb 14" spring on the stiff setting is very streetable.
Tony's has feed back that the 90/10s are too soft with a 175lb spring. The cobra has a very heavy front end due to the motor weight.
So what Soap is getting at is a strut like the tokico drag can be streetable with a 175lb 14" spring which has been proven to be the best spring for drag racing on a 03/04 cobra.

A 90/10 is streetable with a 14/175....tons do it. Each car is different, but this is a combo that is tried and true. Thats all I am saying. Sure a adj is better though, thats why i eventually swapped to adjustables.
Not trying to start a debate here, all's I was trying to say was a 90/10 can do more than poke around on the street. They work fine..stop n go, highway, in traffic what ever....my car just rode like a caddy is all. HAHA.
I dont know why I'm even in the 03-04 Cobra section trying to give tech...I don't even own one. I was only trying to help since I have ran Lakewood 90/10s, 70/30s, Comp Eng 90/10s, and Strang adjustables. As for spring rates i have ran 14" 130/150/175/225 and 12" 175/225 along with a variety of standard springs suchs a Eibach Drag etc so I do have a lil experience. I was only trying to give my real world data.
