Faulty oil pressure sending units, any input?

I was searcing on google and come across this. Exact thing my oil pressure gauge seems to do. On cold start ups will drop to 0 and then jump right back up to normal, and will do this a few times. Will only do it in the morning, never throughout the day. Thinking it could be this. Any experience / input ? Going to go to Ford and pick up this part 1U5Z-9278-DA which I guess is the revised oil pressure sending unit. I have a 2000 GT

Hmm, they used to work. Oh well. Middle link works, scroll down about half way. There are more links I found with the same type of information.

Happens to me all the time. Was worried when I first saw it. As far as I know it is a 2V specific problem steming from 99-03, or 04.

My car - 00 Gt has done it since I have owned it - as long as you know that you have oil you are ok. Since it is an electric gauge, it only takes around 5-11 psi to make that gauge read normal.

i have seen cars with oil in them, and a bad oil pump and the motor goes... knowing you have oil in the car isnt exactly a good measuring device imo haha.
