    1997 Cobra

I'm getting a 97 Cobra soon and I want to make a few ponies with that 4.6. How far can I go with the stock engine internals?

What route are you going? Naturally aspirated? Nitrous? Forced Induction?

Certainly forced induction and probably some spray.

if your doing forced and spray then not going to get far. To tell you the truth your tranny wont even hold much over 400 (450 max before that tranny takes a crap).

Tranny will hold fine unless he is launching it on sticky tires. The clutch will need upgrading.

I know other things will need work but right now I just want to know about the engine internals. I probably wont be spraying a whole lot but I'm definitely going to have boost

Spray and Boost on a 97 cobra motor will not last long.

I would do a blower and keep the boost under 10PSI.

That should give you 100 additional HP.
