New to the site, but old to mustang addiction
My name's Brandon and I'm 25 years old. I have been around mustangs my entire life. My father is a mechanic and he has been ford blue since he was a boy. He passed on his love of mustangs to me at a young age.
I figured i'd get that out of the way immediately. Now to the good stuff: I drive a 2002 mustang GT convertible, True Blue with tan top and tan leather interior - 5 speed trans.
The car is a daily driver, and my mods so far are consistent with this. My primary focus has been suspension, and I have progressive rate eibach lowering springs, KYB gas adjust shocks & struts, and a steeda strut tower brace. I have a steeda bump steer kit in the mail, and a full kit of urethane bushings are on the way within the next month.
I have a borla after-cat on the car simply to make it sound nice, and I have a BBK intake plenum & throttle body, and a BBK cold air intake kit in transit to me as I'm writing this. I don't want to do anything that will make the car a poor daily driver, so I am going to stick with N/A and simple bolt-ons for now. A small nitrous kit may possibly come later.
I have MANY interior upgrades, including a new gauge cluster, brushed alluminum for all my switches and knobs, including the E-brake, and white-face for the A/C knobs. I also have a custom-installed stereo that is of audiophile quality. The trunk is a custom job with a fake floor and a fake wall to hide the amplifiers and still keep the spare tire accessible. The fiberglass subwoofer enclosure has the mustang pony on it, and the fake wall has a ford symbol. It is tastefully finished in stock carpet.
I have left the exterior unchanged except for a red, white, and blue pony in the grille. This is a daily driver, and I do not need to attract attention.
