Stock coil, no issues. Make sure you perform a tune-up regularly. Cap,Rotor,Plugs and fuel filter. If it's been awhile, change your plug wires to. That will make the most difference.

Ah we got the same one then. :)

Cool. I already replaced my platinum spark plugs with motorcraft copper plugs and my worn out ford racing wires with better Taylor Thunder Volt wires. Also, have new msd cap and rotor. My coil and fuel filter has not been changed. Does a dirty fuel filter hurt gas mileage?

Yeah it can if it hasn't been changed in a decently long time. I just went ahead and took my spare F150 fuel filter and swapped it in. Seems to be working ok. ;)

My stock coil died around 220,000 miles(she has 310k on her now). Replaced it with an Accel Super Coil. Eventually the entire ignition system will be Accel. :) The dizzy is next.

Unless your in need of a stronger spark the stock one is plenty good enough....If you need a new coil then i would get a aftermarket one because its probably cheaper than factory. I have an msd because i need a stronger spark because my stang is turbo'd and the boost can actually blow out the spark so i need a stronger coil. Spend your money on other power improvers like an electric fan..pulleys...etc
