    Next Mod

So i want to do 1 of 2 things, i either want to get a brand new full three inch bassani exhaust or i want to keep the bassani x-pipe and flowmaster 40s (2 inch) after that and get new headers with three inch collectors and put electronic cut-outs on it. What do you guys think?

Headers are always a good move, more air in and out I had bassanis on a big block camaro sounded great but had a little to much back pressure for me, went with 40 flows and helped a ton. do you have anything else done to your motor?

Based on actual dyno testing, headers and a larger exhaust is not going to buy you any big increase in power. 5 to 6 HP at best. Synthetic oils will get you 8 hp, and is a lot cheaper. I know a guy who invested 3K in a complete stainless system including headers and got exactly 5 rwhp. Unless of course you are at the 450-500 hp level already. Maybe S/C?

yea thats not true at all, full exhaust will pick you up at least 15 to the tire. Synthetic fluids yea nothing noticable. A good lt, midpipe, catback will pick you up 15-25 (depending catted) and about 20-30rwtq. Just adding lts on my cammed 2v picked me up 12rwhp and 25rwtq

I can only speak from what I have seen on the Dyno first hand. I am sure the results are different for different cars, but if I read his post right, he already has an X pipe and Flowmasters. So I don't see that big a gain over what he has.
