Yes, after using an etching stain, you MUST use an etching stain sealer that is suitable for garage use. The stain is not supposed to be eve, however most of the staining you see here in AZ is nothing more than an acrylic waterborne stain and sealer, not an etching stain. The only real etching stain on the market that you can buy at a big box retail store is from Valspar's Quikrete line of products carried by Lowe's. It's unfortunate that Lowe's cannot bring this to the market here in AZ.

You can do things like these with an acid etching stain:

Only had 5 in there so far. If we squeezed I bet we could get at least 7-8

IMSHAKN - I will definitely get in touch with you once were closed to doing the staining. We also need to put a 4 post lift in. So many things not enough money or time!

I did mine myself and it turned out like that. $1200 is for the primo stuff which I put down but the kit was $500. It is a PITA but if I did it for someone, I would charge a hell of a lot more than $700 for labor.

I had Cabinets Etc (I think) do them in the garage and the master closet. Having them in the closet is great.

The cabinet on the right side in the pic has no shelves but when you open the door, there is pegboard with tools on the hooks. I wanted that one to hide the ugly pegboard.

you could just do what my father does in his garage...just having everything laying about the place. Then when you need something you can spend a hlaf hour cursing that you can't find it.

I see that all the time..

I was at a house last fall...nice 4 car garage. There was so much crap in that garage you couldn't even park one car in there... what a waste..
