I've seen a few mid 90's with decent setups. Something like this. Just something under $13k that was put together right and not rigged. I think someone here is selling their 97 supercharged cobra for around 11 or 12. I'll get another Terminator eventually just because it is a sweet ride but next time around I will get one that is already Whippled or KB'd.
keep it you will not find one in this condition again and these cars hold their value verry well get somthing cheap and make it a weekend toy.you can get specialty insurance when you have a primary car and that drops your insurance in half.dont sell it.
I hear you on that one. It's tough though because you never know if your inheriting someone elses garbage (ie incorrect tune yada yada). It would be nice to purchase one modded though where someone else has taken the hit on all the dough needed for the mods.
That 98 looks clean though. I know it's been in a minor wreck but nothing major, and the replacement paint job looks awesome from here.

Thats the thing, just taking the time to find one that someone took care with. Find a car that someone does not really want to sell but has to and it will probably be a nice car. It kills me to see the bad ass fox bodies out there with a stroker motor and a power adder pushing 500+ hp with the stock brakes and 4 lug setup.
I'd go with what Andy said. I drive my '03 on weekends or to FFF. If the mood strikes me, I drive it to work. But, I wouldn't drive it daily, unless I had to. That's why I have my '93 Notch. It gets 8 more mpg than the '03, and cost me 1/10 the price. And, I still have people thinking it's a 5.0, just by the look it has. You can still park your 'vert and get specialty insurance.
'03 Cobra - Mildly modded. A work in progress. 12.566 @ 110.755, 1.89 60' on street tires
'93 Notch - Looks faster than it is.
'72 F100 4x4 - Dormant, for now.
Race '99 L - 12.40 @ 110
I'd love to keep it but that $500/month will help. I'm selling the ghetto moblie too. If it gets much worse this year, I may sell one of my kidneys.
I'm thinking $10k or so. I could do the ol' bathtub full of ice routine and just take someone elses and sell it. Maybe I'll sell a kid or 2 on ebay. The sky's the limit, you just gotta think outside the box.
it kills me too being i own a "bad ass foxbody pushing 500 hp" with 4 lug and stock brakes. i guess i was just more worried about getting there than i was about stopping. as far as four lug... whats the problem??? its not like you need five lugs for anything other than sub 8 second runs(which you need a lot more than 500hp for) or for more wheel choices. truth is its just a money thing. it was "put nitrous on the car, or buy brakes". what would you have done? then again after looking over my receipts from last year, with the $750 i spent on filling my nitrous tanks over and over again, i could have bought aerospace brakes. but id just rather be fast, since i cant afford to do both.... yet. if you are like me, your car is never done, and there is a reason for everything if you are serious about foxes go here www.corral.net. you WILL find what you are looking for.
