I say we do an over-nighter to Pinetop (through salt river canyon), have a huge steak dinner at Charlie Clarks, followed by a short walk to the teppanyaki joint down the street for some saki bombers, then cab it to the casino for some late night gambling and cocktails.

Or we could just do the Jerome run and not have huge hangovers....
That sounds like an awesome trip. Even cooler if we could do it all in one day too..

I did Mingus last Nov 4. Yes, its a GREAT road. No, the trip ISNT fun if you get jammed up behind RV or "granny" traffic. Parading in a line of cars at 20 or 30mph kills any potential fun of the road.

I havent been to Lemmon since May? 96 and I wasnt driving. Im going back, however, Sunday, May 4. Everyone is invited. Check my "Road trip" post in the Wild West forum.

Push fans are nowhere near as effective as a pull through fan. So revisit that idea.

Hey now, watch it mister! Besides, pending funding... I'm definately going to need SOMETHING to celebrate the end of schoolwork and finals this semester. What better way to do it than a nice fun cruise with all you great people? lol

Sounds like a good time! And yes, overnight does sound cool too if we could find a place to stay that won't kill us poor people on top of gas prices.... plus, that means drinking time

Suppose I'm just spoiled then... I live so close that I've done the run daily before with some friends. The trick is that you go at night around 9 or later so you miss most traffic and can have all the fun you want.... but if you can't make it at night, go during the week, middle of the day or early afternoon.

All of that aside, it's completely irrelavent because we will be traveling with a rather large group of mustangs so there is no room for anything beyond a pleasurable cruise with an awesome group of friends and car enthusiests. MUCH better senery then anything you'll find in Tucson anyway.
