How does the turbo on that car work? Looks like the ol' clothes dryer vent hose running into the air cleaner assembly.

No No, it works off the exhaust manifold like the SVO's but not as sopfisticated. Mine is upgrade with a Garrett Turbo, I just wish it was back here so I could finish it!! I love the bosst feel with that! I think mine has 104,000 on the chasis and I have seen that car before up for sale absolutely sick!!!

I had a 79 sedan with the same engine and TRX suspension that I bought in Oct78.
It was a suck-thru style turbo with a carb. The turbo bearing was engine coolant cooled to help limit coking of the bearing.
As long as you ""winged the engine, it was a pretty nice car for back then. The boost was NOT smooth and would hit all at once...........but the suspension was very forgiving and neutral handling.
The TRX tires were VERY expensive. I paid $114 each WHOLESALE in 79.....unmounted!

Boy I know what you mean Bill ,they are $350 each now but it's a must have type of thing to be complete. I have a set of pony wheels that it will sit on and when it finally makes it to shows it will have the TRX ones on it.
