I had a Stage IV ported Eaton for a while with a 2.8 upper pulley, then went with Whipple (they sponsored me) and have been extremely happy. It is loud when I get into boost, but normal driving it is quiet like stock. Except for the sound of my exhaust. I get a ton of compliments on how well my car sounds.
We have done KB mods to cars as well, but they don't produce the HP as advertised.
If you want a great sound, I recomend the Procharger kit or Twin Turbo. I love the Procharger sound.

I would really like to do a TT set up but the cost is high. I would rather dum 5k into and roll around a 600+rwp Cobra vs 15k for the TT setup

Your looking in the wrong places.
The shop that does all my work, is half that.
They do more turbo kits that superchargers.
doing a 07 Z06 Vette with a stroked LSX block, making 1800rwhp.
The motor is built to handle 3000hp.
That is a little extreme, but the capabilities of what they can do.
