The Skyline GTR showed 10.379 s. He had some launch problems and was a bit slow at first gear, but on higher gears it had amazing performance!!! It passes like F16 at low altitude!!!!

Yes, that was an airport long time ago, now we use it for drag strip. Soon there will be stands and reinforced concrete safety barriers.

They are far far away even from baby Mustangs ...

The small one with "KUPOB" written on the right door is Fiat 126P. This is a very old Fiat, but produced in Poland. The stock engine is 600 cc, 2 cylinder and about 25 HP. Now the engine is 4 cylinder and hits 12.561 s @ 1/4 mile.

The white one with registration plate TX 8333 AX is an old russian Lada Zhiguli. No one knows what is behind the bonnet, but its time is 12.832 s.

    Mitsubishi Eclipse - 11.292

    Red Mitsubishi EVO - 11.281

    Black Mitsubishi EVO - 13.400

    Seat Ibiza - 13.710

Bellow the Seat picture you see the ligh blue .... TRABANT, from the former East Germany. The stock engine was 2-stroke 2 cylinder, the new one is 4 cylinder 1600cc, but it still shows above 14 seconds.

The violet Opel Corsa is with 2000cc 16 valve engine, mounted in the boot of the car. Its time is 13.419s.

    .................................................. .........................

As I told you people in Bulgaria cannot afford to pay too much money for expensive cars and for performance tuning. But we are eager to do something with our hands, so these results are very good.

Even slowly, but we are growing up and I hope soon we will have some great cars for drag.

    Those are some impressive times.

How does the track time the races.

Do you have timing like we do here that measures

    60 ft
    330 ft
    660 ft
    1000 ft
    1320 ft

With the existing equipment can be measures only time @ 60 ft and 1320 ft and the terminal velocity.

The new equipment had arrived from the USA.

It is wireless and can measure the speed trap at 60 ft and at 1320 ft, as well as reaction time.

Do they spray the track with VHT (glue) to make it sticky?

No, the organizer do not spray the track with any glue. I am new on drag strips and have never heared about that.

All these timings are without a glue.... I have to propose them to do that, thank you for the idea.
