    New Attachment Format

    I have the thumbnails with Lightbox active.

    Click on the thumb below for an example.

    This greatly reduces server load = Faster Site

    Linking photos will still stay full size. This is just if you use the attach function.

    I'll be sure to use the attach feature from now on. Posting the images straight in a thread can really screw up the way the page appears.

    The problem occurs when you post an image that is huge into the forms from and external host. They break the style. If the image is 800x600 max there usually isn't a problem on most monitors unless you run a low resolution.

    I am working on a mod that will resize externally linked images.

    You can also do this

    This will ensure the image is always here. I hate red x's that show up when the external image is deleted.

    The other thing to keep in mind is when editing a photo to post online, setting the dpi to 72 vs. 300 or 360 will dramatically cut the reduce the size of the photo. Most image editing programs should allow you to either "save for the web" or manually set your dpi.

    You won't be able to tell the difference (72dpi vs 300dpi) when viewing photo's on monitor.
