I agree competely, the LDC is the best one available and requires the trans to be dropped the evenflow Head cooling mod can be done with the trans in place but requieres the removal of the blower although there are guys who have done it with the blower in place.

If it were me i'd wait until the trans needs to be dropped and do the LDC mod then. It definately won't hurt anything.

so if the hose were to mess up, or the clamps were to loosen, or a leak were to occur, it would require the removal of the transmission to fix it???? yikes!!!!! no thanks, IMO....

God just get the mod. You worry too much

If your heater core hose comes loose you are in the same boat of hard to get to.

It's better than the tick followed by spending a few grand for the updated heads imo

They aren't prone to develope the tick like the old head design is, they can all benefit from the Head cooling mod. These motors produce so much heat any mod that helps lower those temps and your IAT's is a good mod to do, LT's, Heat exchanger, port etc.

Lets look at it this way. The right head flows coolant out the back for the heater core. The Left head doesn't.

The LDC mod allows both heads to flow out the back.

You can make a determination on which will provide the best coolant flow.
