OK, I told myself that I wouldn't reply to this post but I am just curious on acouple of things. Don't want to start any beef's, just curious. One, there are clicks everywhere. Be it Chevy, Ford, Dodge, Mustangs, GTO's ect... You see it at all car shows. All "Clicks" try and park with each other at the shows. It was even at your last show. You parked with the rest of the mustangs. As for a peer voting show, most shows are like that now. And yes, clicks will vote for there clicks. Meaning, and there are some people that are not like this, but if there was a mustang in a class and a GTO in the same class and everything was equal (Be it mods or stock) being a mustang guy (Click) I would vote for the mustang over the Goat. Just being honest. Class'es at car shows are tricky. There is no standard at each show of how many mods, is considered a mod car and what kind of mods. Someone might have mod'ed there interior and not the rest of the car and enter mod'ed or stock. What is a mod? It is different for each person. The person you are talking about that won over you had some mods on his car. Maybe they were not major mods, but they were mods. He could of enter both ways. Lastly you said "Then there was the guy with a fox body and tons of major mods and this idiot entered stock class and took 2nd." This guy did not enter stock. He entered 80's and Newer Muscle Car/ Pony Car. He could of entered Mods if he wanted too but he didn't. He had an amazing car. I don't know about you, but I enter car shows for one, help out the charity it is for. Two, to appreciate other peoples cars and there hard work, and Three to see if there is something someone done to there car that I like so I can do it to my car!
And four, to meet new friends that share the same love for cars that I do. If I get a trophy along the way great, if not I make a new friend. Like I said before, I don't want to start no beefs or piss anyone off, just putting my two cents worth in on this post.
