Lethal's GT500: Full Kooks and Magnaflow Exhaust Installed
We're a little behind on our write-ups but I wanted to post them in the order in which we did the modifications in so everyone could follow our time line of our GT500 build.
Once we got the car dialed in with the VMP tune and JLT intake and ran our 11.71 pass it was time to let our baby breath better. No sense in forcing all that air into the motor if you can't efficiently allow it to leave. In addition to that we wanted to wake this car up. Although it sounded OK from the factory with a slight rumble it was definitely too quiet for us. Lastly, our plans of putting the big 3.4L Whipple would greatly benefit from a nice set of headers and free flowing exhaust.
So there's no questioning why we went with the sick Kooks and Magnaflow setup. We chose the Kooks Headers as Kooks has been supplying us with super high quality headers for several years now. I personally run them on my 03 Cobra and the fit, finish and performance of them is amazing. So we spoke to our good friends over at Kooks and they sent us a set of their 1-3/4" Headers with a 3" Offroad X-Pipe.
Then we needed to finish off the system and being a long time Magnaflow fan we went straight to their 3" Catback system with Magnapack Mufflers.
The combination of the 2 sound amazing.
Here's a link to our installation along with a few video clips for you guys to get an idea of what the system sounds like. To say the least it's AWESOME!

If you have any questions about any of Kooks Custom Headers or any Magnaflow Exhaust Systems please feel free to give us a call.
A big thanks goes out to our good friend George R and the rest of the crew at Kooks as well as Gary and Abby Zapp for providing the Magnaflow System. You guys are awesome and we appreciate you participating in our build.
