I found a 5.4 motor from an f 250 for 750$ is it worth swapping out the 4.6? they only have 300 hp stock too.

Because its so far off due to money I havent researched extensively so I dont even know if what I want is possible, but my eventual goal is an all aluminum, 5.4 stroker 3v with a KB 2.8H.

See, its iron and 4v. I want aluminum and 3v. Ill have to get an aftermarket block I know. What I dont know is if KB has a 2.8H for 3v, I dont think so, so then its a question of if they ever will or if someone will market an adaptor system.

alan you could always do my setup with the 2.6L kenne and just get a smaller pulley and run some more boost. i would just stick with the 4.6 and get new internals and you should be set.

I read that all i would need is adapter plates and can keep the same computer.

Tyler I want the cubes AND the torque provided by the longer stroke. AND I like the 3v heads. But yes, if it turns out to be unworkable, unavailable, then yeah, Ill just build the typical balls out 4.6. Everything I would do to a 5.4 Id do to a 4.6, Id just have less cubes.

My old cobra' I sold jason has a 5.4 with a thumper on it, the adapter plates are usually on back order and you will have some down time. Might as well get a navigator motor and start fresh or look on CL for the guy selling a complete 03-04 cobra motor for $7500.
