    If it has a 26 spline input shaft it should hold the power.

    Just do the input shaft. While there are some cases of output shafts breaking it is not as common as the input shaft.

    by the time he gets his tranny fixed and output shaft ordered and installed he will be at the cost of a new cobra trans. i guess it just depends on how much it would cost to get fixed. you will probly be just fine with just a 26 spline input.
