    Mustang club...

I'm interested in joining the club, but have a question. Technically my car is a 1986 mercury capri asc mclaren (in restoration), not a mustang. Can I still join? I mean the car is identical to a mustang except for the bulging fenders and bubble hatch. Any thoughts?

Absolutely you can join the club, ownership is not required, just having fun is and you have a very rare piece. Hanks Gt will love to see it he has 2 McClaren Mustangs! Welcome aboard!!

That's great, I think I know Hank's gt from the asc mclaren board.. The car isn't coming out in public until it's repainted though.. I just picked it up but the paint is horrid up close, but looks ok from a few feet away. :( Here she is:

Welcome! Yes, I'm on the McLaren board too.

Don't be too critical of your car, we're not. I put 100,000 miles driving the '89 back and forth to gilbert. I need to touch up rock chips, but the factory piant still looks good to me. It can only be orginal once. We do alot of fun stuff in the club and you don't have to bring your Ford product to be involved.
