What is the difference between Ford Cobra T56 manual trans and the Dodge Viper T56 manual trans? I see that some members made the swap. Is the dodge a perfect fit with the ford body & engine?

Yes the Viper T-56 is a direct swap. The Viper spec T-56 is a little stronger, and has different gearing. They have a really high 6th gear for freeway driving.

Also Like I said the Viper Trannies are rated to hold a more Torque.
Here's the difference in the gear ratios:
Gear 03 Cobra Viper
1 2.66 2.66
2 1.78 1.78
3 1.30 1.30
4 1.00 1.00
5 0.80 0.74
6 0.63 0.54
