Should I take the intake off and wait for the warranty to expire and than just go get it tunned? Or does Sanderson Ford (Since they are a performance dealer) tune your car and let you keep the warranty intact? Does any one have any ideas?

i had the same problem with my '00. i have a K&N and no more than a month of having installed my engine light came on. it turs out that it was the mass air flow sensor that set it off.

Well I have recently sold the BBK CAI and have had the dealer install a FORD RACING CAI and a Pro Cal Racing Tune along with a FR X-PIPE. No problems and all covered under factory warranty. Good luck with yours.

That is a normal price, but many people will buy there own tuner (Diablo,XCT) and do it themselves. But for $400 (if they give you the programmer) than that is a good price. I would tell them to put at least three tunes in your programmer. 1. Street 2. Racing 3. NOS just a suggestion, good luck.

Just tune it yourself. Get a SCT xcal3 from bamachips or and xcal2 from brenspeed and they will load the custom tunes you need. Is your shop giving you the tuner? I dont know much about diablo but SCT seems like the preferred tunner.

thanks for the suggestions! there is really only one mustang shop in reno. so i dont have much choice unless i want to do it my self and im not too good with electronics. i have a few mods so i dont know if they have to tune them all or not. but the tuner is 400 alone then $90 an hour. and on top of that im trying to save up for a cobra.

I love my car but if I had the chance to get a 03-04 SVT Cobra I would in a heart beat. Good Luck to you.

Justin and Ethan are correct. The air is not in the intake for the heat transfer
    to occur.

    To the OP
You need to talk with Justin about a tune and a Xcal3. If you get a wideband and with the Xcal3, you can datalog the parameters he needs and send him the logs for him to tweak the tune. Justin is one of the premier tuners in the nation.

Or you can take your car to Devin at Performance Solutions in Phoenix and get the same level of performance.

Either way you'd be VERY happy with your tune!

Wild Bill, I did not know if you were replying to me or to built4speed? But I already have the FRP CAI and tune including X-PIPE. I believe that built4speed lives in Nevada but may be interested in your suggestion. Thank you.
