    Hey Jeff, are the brakes on a plane strong enough to hold the plane back with the engines at full throttle?

    Yes, but I believe there is a minimum weight to do a full power run up with all 4 engines. I really don't have all the details, but it is obvious the brakes failed.

    WOW! I would of never guess they could hold it back. I could see where the minimum weight would come into play.

    So to sum it up they brake raced this thing and it took off?

    I am sure they do engine run ups all the time, but this one went bad.
