A high quality slow motion camera films drag races at 1000 frames per second. Its pretty cool to see the tires spin off the starting lines as well as the individual cylinders flying.

Oh yeah, that stuff is really cool, how many people have actually been to an NHRA national event? I used to go every year in Houston before I moved out here for school.... the camera equipment they have is freakin cool as hell. The one camera they have that's all automatically operated to follow the cars down the track..... works like a champ until the guy parachuting in with the flag takes it out on landing (yep, saw that happen one year). I felt bad for the guy who had to take the automated camera's place and do all those shots by hand.

I got to about 4-5 NHRA Powerade events a year. You just can't watch drag racing on TV.

That would killer to able to afford that camera just to use at the track. It would make it so much easier to dail in your car, after watching the runs in super slow moe.
