    Looking for pre-assembled Cobra shortblock

    Howdy folks!

I have a 2001 GT with an '03 Cobra motor stroked to a 4.9L. I invested the money to have all forged components installed so it could handle the twin 57mm turbos. Long story short, within ten months it spun a rod-bearing.

I'm tired of people telling me how good they are at building motors. I either need to find someone who's references bear out that they've done this a thousand times successfully, or I need to buy a pre-assembled Cobra short-block. I live in Lone Tree Colorado (a suburb of Denver). If I can't find someone in Colorado I'll gladly ship the car to someone reputable.

Any suggestions will be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks so much for your time!

    Mike

I bookmarked both them and VT. Ironic that VT is in Lansing Michigan. Lansing is where the shop is that did such a "fine" job of building the current engine. That guy had NO HUMILITY. He was the best engine builder ever and everyone else was incompetent. Hopefully he's quit trying to build engines and now just concentrates on building mass-air meters.

Didn't realize you are now a machine shop that offered built short blocks.

As a vendor it is your job to plug yourself.
