I'm not a corvette guy by any means, but that almost brought a tear to my eye............................................... ....ALMOST, HAHAHAHAHA
Thats is a crying shame. Ford or Chevy, you have to feel for the people who had the the old Vettes out there.
That sucks big time. I love corvettes, and it really is a bummer to see that happen.
Typical Carlisle, you never know what your gonna get out there in the summer!!!! Too bad for all those cars, I wonder if Hagerty and Grundy rates went up yet???

Oh damn.....
I was out there last summer in June for the All Ford Nationals at Carlisle and the skys threatened a bad storm all weekend but we got lucky and only had a couple small showers. I didn't like having to clean up the car again but it's much better than actual damage!
Also, that first pic of the aftermath of the vette with the blown tire and missing fender, that was Corvette plant manager Wil Cooksey doing a burnout until he blew the tire of that brand new Z06... "destructive testing".
Here's a link to that video: YouTube - 2008 Z06 Corvette Burnout Corvettes at Carlisle

I guess money doesn't make you any smarter.
