SonicVenum almost hit his rev limiter (set at 7000 rpm) while trapping 131.96 at a Sea Level Track.
He was pretty informative when he raced, but then again, he was losing alot of air from the screwed rims he had.
From the tires I ran, the combination of tire pressure and duration of the burnout effected my top rpm too.
I seen one too many motive gears lose a tooth or teeth.... 3.73 would be nice if you have the trap speed and 4.10's is almost perfect for my track. Almost meaning I wish I had taller tires then 25.7"...cross the line 400rpms beyond 6200 and forget sea level. 6700 ~ 6800rpm's.
over 135mph? 140mph is where I thought you needed to worry about?
3.73's look like you gear, but wont 28" tall tires be too much?
I believe it is ok to over rev just a tad bit at the big end, but not by too much. Dont you only need like 138mph to dip into the 9's anyways? Full Weight, Great Short Time and Ratt Daddy style of shifting?
Burntire, I just checked Speedworld's mph/rpm range calculator and it says that with a 28" tire and 4.10s, you should be running 132.1138211382114 at 6500 rpm. Of course, that's assuming you're in 4th gear.
Hope this helps.
