    I always used Mobil 1 synthetic and a motorcraft filter following the recommend weight.

    I ended up going with a Mobil 1 filter, and got the oil from the dealer, full synthetic 5w-50 as suggested on the valve cap. There are no stores that carry 5w-50.

    You can buy Mobil 1 5W50 at Napa.
