Ford follows tradition, ends BOSS with 2013.

2012 and 2013 will be the only two years for the BOSS 302 as Ford follows tradition of the 1969 and 1970 BOSS's. Stripes were for 2 model years in the effort to stay with the original formula (successful road racer). BOSS sales remain strong and with this unofficial announcement mean the run will be around 8K total including the LS (both years combined). The BOSS community see this as good news to maintain exclusivity and value. This follows Fords BULLITT run, also held at 2 model years. Since minimal changes are coming in the 2014 as the platform ends, there is speculation that a MACH1 may be the last hurah. I look forward to the 2015.

:( where is the dislike button - As a Mystic Cobra owner, I get the "Limited" idea but they only make a few K each year
That engine is just too damn good to only be used for 2 years - had better make it into something like a Mach
I kind of wish I could order a loaded up 2013 (or 14) and check an option box for the Boss 5.0 engine...
