Help- window motor or electrical problem

My son just bought a 1995 Ford Bronco, Eddie Bauer Edition. When he first lowered the rear window using the dash up/down switch, it wentdown. But when he went to put it up, it would not go up. He then used the keyin the tail gate that opens/shuts the window, and it would not go up on its ownso he had to physically push up on the window while the key was turned to theclose position to get it up.
NOTE: When using the dash switch, and the key, you can hearthe motor kicking in/trying to run etc...
Anyone know what the problem might be... weak motor?something slipping? electrical?

After replacing 3 in my Moms Buick(Side window regulator/motor ,not a tailgate window,of course, but it sounds like the same prob), its usually the regulator,or the plastic pieces, sometimes the cable. All 3 motors worked, but it was easier replacing the window regulator with motor attached. got'em at O'Reilly (Checker). Sometimes you can find a vid on You Tube, showin a "How-To".

Thanks Blackmagic1. We were discussing it and researching parts, and think the best thing to do is just to replace every think involved with the rear wondow so it should be good to go for years to come (with prayers) rather than being nickle and dimed with replaceing worn/wearing parts one at a time everytime he turns around.
