I'm a new member but have been driving performance Mustangs for a while now. I have my '92 LX 5.0 and have recently purchased a new 2012 Mustang GT (Not premium) and found this site while searching for what the car will do bone stock on a 1/4 mile. I've drag raced my '92 a couple of times, and the car (minus my newbie reaction time) runs mid - high 13s. My best time was a 15.26. I'm getting there!
Although I'm new to the sport of drag racing (actually on a track) I've been driving performance Mustangs for years. I've had a few, to include 1 6 cylinder when I was 16. I drove a '93 SVT Cobra a friend of mine had and sold my 6 cylinder the next day in favor of a v8 and haven't turned back since. My first project car in which I spent time under the hood improving things was a '93 Thunderbird LX with the 5.0 HO. I never ran her on a real drag strip, but I was pretty consistent in red light racing her. She did alright, but I was ready for a Stang!
I'll keep you all posted (if you're interested) in the improvements I make to my '92 LX and the improvements we make together at the track.
