    06 4.6 antifreeze odor

I have an 06 GT with 43k miles on it. Last couple of days I am getting an antifreeze odor under the hood. No leaks that I can find anywhere, nothing dripping under the car, and no tell tale signs of smoking. Thoughts?

Could be a little venting around the cap.

Should I look into replacing the cap then? It has never done this before.

I don't know how the 06 caps work. On the 04 the vent is built in under the cap.
I would look rear close at all the hoses for a small leak.

look for white streaks or powder too calcium buildup at small leaks and check that the cap is tight those go bad and it looks like no leaks till they fail and then make a big mess have the system presuretested when you still cant find it it smells like coolant you have a leak some where

if its the same cap on the v6 as the v8.. i would change it anyway. i have gone through 5 rad caps since i bought my car. seems like every 3rd oil change it would test bad and wouldnt hold pressure.
