I noticed that you only posted the best mph of the cars. Is that because the track is not prepped and has water to the 300 ft mark? I was at this event on the 29 th and It was a very dissatisfying experience.Let me start of by saying I have been attending speedworld motorplex ever since I was 3 years of age and have been an avid racer there . I even took a trip down that track strapped in to a car seat in my fathers old 57 chevy at the age of three.I have noticed as time has passed there has been a steady decline of the attitude of the track staff .

I'll give you a few reasons I had such a dissatisfying time at the street legal event on the 29th.

I know these events usually attract a crowd of ricers so I didnt expect much on the traction department.

--1--As I pulled around the water box and waited for 2 minutes for the guy to back me in I took a look down the lane and saw a long skinny puddle of water right in the groove about 5 ft off the line. I waived the guy over and asked very nicely if he could mop the water up. He looked at me and smirked and said there was no way he could dry it up.

This did not make me very happy. Of course I did not get any traction and spun like crazy through 3 gears.
Every car there was not running there potential because of the traction issue.

--2-- The right lane lately has not been giving out 1/8 mile times and mph.Which really makes me angry.

--3-- The water box water is too close to the the line.It looks like people our doing John force burnouts. I myself cant roll out the burnout as hard.

--4--During the burnout contest there was a guys car that caught on fire under the hood and the crew took 45 seconds to finally bust out the fire extinguisher. They looked like zombies out there.

--5-- Ricers cruise around the pit area like its a freeway.

--6-- And oh ya....there was a Mexican fight in the stands.I have never witnessed a fight at the track until this event.

I do like the new track addition and the new burnout box though.

I suggest that you guys set up this event on a weekday so you dont waste the real racers chance to run there cars at full potential on the weekends.

There should be a rule that there will be no front wheel cars allowed on the nights with the real racers. No more ricers rolling threw the water and tracking water all down the whole track.

I myself will make sure never to attend one of these events ever again.

I hear ya man, those are pretty much the same reasons why I never go to those big events anymore. I wish you guys still had the wednesday night runs because no ricers are usually ever out there and it gives me a lot of chances to "test n' tune" my car. but these events are a joke because nobody can run even somewhat decents times

My first trip to the track was a Wednesday night at speedworld. There wasn't a ton of cars out but I got a ton of runs in and really enjoyed myself. Spent $20 got 20 runs in. As opposed to going on a Friday/Saturday spend $20 get 2-3 runs in. The end of the Wednesday night runs severely cut into the amount of times I will go to the track because I go to run when I pay to run.

A.> December 29th was a Friday. At this time of year,Speedworld is NOT open on Friday nights.

B.>None of our employees would ever "smirk" at our customers. After this particular run, did you approach the race director with your concerns? In addition (and I am NOT making an excuse for anything here)do you have any idea of the track temperature vs. the dewpoint that evening? FYI: the air temp was 48 degress at 10:45 PM

C.>There WAS a problem with 1/8 mile times in the right lane, and those malfunctions have been corrected

D.>The new concrete burnout boxes needed 30 days of "cure" time (longer due to cooler weather) before we could allow burnouts ON the new concrete.

E.>When Anthony's breather cap came off,oil got on his manifold and started a small fire, it took exactly NINE (9) seconds for our EMT personnel to respond and SEVEN (7) seconds to extinguish the fire. I was ON the starting line and timed it myself.

F.>Pit speed is posted at 5 MPH, anyone caught racing through the pits will be escorted to the exit gates

G.>I was at the track from 5:30 PM until 12:15 AM, I am unaware of any fight, argument, or disoderly issues on December 30th

By the way............We appreciate your loyalty and patronage at our facility and I have ONLY heard comments regarding the "attitude" of our staff to be the exact opposite of what you describe in you post. Additionally, in drag racing terminology: FAST= MPH & QUICK= ET
The December 30th event paid out CASH for "Fastest on the Property"
Next time you come out to the track, make sure you ask for me!Any friend of Jeff (the CEO) is a friend of mine!
