Nice...sounds like you all have some big ideas in the works ;) I like what I am hearing!!!

On a bit of a side step thought or suggestion...here is maybe another event that "should" be a bit easier to get set up:

Not sure if many of you heard this news, but we are actually going to have a NMCA event here: Speed World Dragway – Phoenix, AZ – Sept. 28-30, 2012 These events always have a local "sponsor club" to help with the car show and event activities - could be a great opportunity???
I have been involved in the NMRA/NMCA and World Ford Challenge events for years back in the midwest - they are an awesome display of racing, car show and gear head focused event! Anyway, here is a link to the information and let me know how I can help

Santa Ana and Santa Rosa, CA – November 22, 2011 - Flowmaster, Inc., the exhaust technology company, and ProMedia Events are pleased to announce that Flowmaster will be the series sponsor of the all-new NMCA WEST Street Car Series through the 2013 season. NMCA West will debut in 2012 as a 4-event championship series catering to the growing west coast drag racing scene.
Auto Club Dragway – Fontana, CA - Apr. 20-22, 2012
    Famoso Dragway – Bakersfield, CA – June 22-24, 2012
Speed World Dragway – Phoenix, AZ – Sept. 28-30, 2012
Auto Club Dragway – Fontana, CA – Oct. 19-21, 2012

Stay tuned for a complete list of NMCA West classes and rules, along with special announcements guaranteed to make the 2012 season extra special.

“The west coast drag racing and muscle car scene has been asking the NMCA to produce high-quality motorsport events for years,” said Charlie Harmon, president of ProMedia Events. “Flowmaster’s partnership with NMCA WEST, along with major support from our core sponsorship base, will contribute to great racing classes and a world class contingency program. Combine great competition with the media
exposure NMCA attracts and you will see west coast drag racing take off and go to the next level.”

"Flowmaster is excited to become the title sponsor of the NMCA WEST Street Car series for the next two years,” stated Nate Shelton,
chief marketing officer of B&M Racing & Performance that includes Flowmaster, Inc. “The NMCA WEST Street Car Series sponsorship just seemed like a natural for our brands to further enhance our connection with racers, both those who know Flowmaster and those who need to learn about what we offer. We view racing as one of the best ways to engage the racers at the track to find out how to further improve Flowmaster exhaust products to control sound with no loss of engine power or torque. We have always supported those customers who have us for so many years by loyal purchase of our products. This racing series just gives us one more opportunity to do so.”

My take is fest is short for festival, so that means a Mustang Festival. Then we could have clowns, and balloons and maybe some dancing. I just don't the fest thing working but then again let the reps work that out when the time comes.

Hopefully things will change. Copperstate used to be fun then it got stale. Jeff and Don are great guys count me in for any fun. Trying to unite the clubs for events and cruises is a awesome idea. I agree with Dave, its about the Mustang and the people who drive them not the CLUBS!!!

Glad to put away the knife, it was cutting holes in my seat.

I'm in for a multi-club show. The mayor of Prescott asked us about having a car show there. Rick has laid out some great ideas and with new management coming in the clubs Jan 1 we have a chance to try something new. I think it would either have to be a August show (September is Route 66 show) or wait until spring 2013. Lot's of time needed to move something like this along through multi-clubs and town boards.

We can always use our house for a neutral meeting place. Good parking, folks from all 3 clubs have attended meetings/movies/BBQ's in the past. Right off 101 and Cave Creek Road, plenty of parking.

I presented this topic to the Copperstate Mustang Club board last week on January 4th 2012. I was given the "thumbs up"- They liked the idea of an all club show. So CMC is a go!
