    Home Air Compressors Opinions

I'm in the market for a home air compressor. I don't want one that costs thousands of dollars. I'm looking for one to blow out my cars to remove dog hair and dust, air up my tires, and one that can easily run basic automotive air tools for tire removal and ratchet use without running non stop and semi quiet so its neighbor friendly.
Ive been reading a lot and the more I read the less I feel I know, so many choices and so many reviews make you more confused.
I'm figuring someone here knows whats good and bad, so please let me know what you think.

I'm leaning towards one of these 2 but the prices are all over the board.

Craftsman Professional 80 Gallon 2 Stage Air Compressor

    Ingersoll-Rand 20 Gallon Air Compressor

Im not stuck on anyone of these, so your opinion and help matters. What do you think and what do you recommend?

Have a 60gal Kobalt from Lowes. First one crapped out on us after 6 months, rolled it back into Lowes and they had a whole new lineup of compressors. After 10 mins of discussing options they decided to give us a brand new 60gal. Worked great for about 8 months and blew a gasket or seal inside and it wouldnt build pressure over 40psi. Fixed locally and covered under the warranty. Has been working fine for about 6 months but we are hearing some new noises

So stay away from Kobalt...It was between $400-500 I think

So does it run all of your basic tools? If you had to blow out the inside of your car for 15-20 minutes would this keep up. Im not trying to find one that runs grinders or anything. Just want it to be used for light duty with an occasional workload here and there. Ive read so much about these compressors most people say they are all junk. I just don't want to buy one and have it crap out quickly.

Mine runs all the tools fine. I have a good Ingersol Rand impact gun and use a good 25 foot hose for tough jobs.
