Turns out some idiot put a GM T-5 Gear box in my Cobra before I bought it. Wouldn't have noticd but I happened to mic the clutch alignment tool and the pilot shaft and got a .100 difference. So the pilot shaft was .590 and of cource it has just been floating around unsupported in the pilot bearing. The different gear box would explain alot like the hard shifts and my speedo being off with having no gears in the rear. I machined a bushing to take up the slack till I can afford to get a TKO after next summer. It took awhile to figure out what the hell was going on but after talking to Ford and Tremec the unbelievable was true. People do some dumb stuff.
