Here's the good news not so bad news story. I was in the GTI not 66, ok, good news. I took a good hit but the damage appears only superficial and after cleaning off the back of the car today does not look too bad, but I am going to VW collision shop tomorrow and have them take a look. After 24 hrs the kidney seems to be functioning ok but still feels a little tender, may see doc tomorrow. The medics that came to the scene checked me out and said I looked a little peakid, hey I always look that way LOL. After some chat it ends up that the captain on the fire squad had met me at the Starbucks in Surprise and actually described my Mustang, kinda cool. Here is a little tidbit I got from the cop....if the fire squad was not called the old bitty that hit me would have gotten a walk, but since that was not the case she got the "TICKET", yes! Rick, sorry to hear about your car...Turn out was small compared to the one in Dallas...Not sure if it was the weather or is the turn out normally like that..I left around 9am...Here are some pics I took while I was there:
