    99 or 01 cobra

I was thinking about picking one of these up instead of a terminator, are the motors exactly the same sans the charger? I was thinking it would be a better way to start for cheaper, I can just go straight for the KB instead of dropping 22+K on an 03/04 and then another 4-5k for a KB, I was thinking I can get a 99/01 for about 15 or maybe less.

Anyone know of where I can find some better info on these cars?

I had a 99 and the seats suck. The rear bumper says mustang not cobra. I had the rear end vib that took about 5 visits and a ford engineer to fix. The wheel hop was brutal.

The 01 has better seats and says cobra on the rear bumper.

The motors do not have forged internals like the 03/04. It is more or less a Mach 1 motor.

I would save your cash for an 03/04 you can run 11's with just a pulley CAI and Catback with sticky tires. I ran 11.84 with an unported eaton with the above mods.

Look for that nice cobra that the midlife crisis person bought and never touched a bolt.

Dang, the cheapest one I could find was 25K, looks likes Wayne's car is a Smoking Deal, too bad I'm picky...I really wanted a silver, blue, or black 03/04.

Better yet, I found some nice Lightnings for 16-18K, I'm going to keep my fox and just sell my 00 F150 in trade for a nice lightning. I just can't afford a Cobra w/ a truck payment as well.

The Lightnings are a great truck as well...IMO if you could wait till you find a 03/04 cobra, it will be worth the wait.
