    Boss Intake install and dyno

Got my intake yesterday and installed it. Took me 2 hours following the great instructions from LRS.

    http://www.mylrs.com/blogs/lrs/archi...tallation.aspx

This thing is huge. Looks like a composite tunnel ram for an old FE or something. Check out the valley! Engine burritos hell... could cook a 15 pound turkey in there! The pics don't do it justice.

I went with a BBR tune. I have gotten 3 tunes from teim and the AFR's have all been spot on.

Here is the graph. The car has a BBR tune, JLT CAI, Magnaflow O/R X-pipe, Magnaflow catback, and the BOSS intake. Run 9 is same setup with stock intake.

It cuts off a little early but looks exactly like everyone else's Boss intake dynos. Loss of 10-20 hp and tq from 3500-5500, dead even from 5500-6500, and huge gains from 6500-7500. If you extrapolate where those lines are going the gains at 7500 are 40+ rwhp. Don't let the loss of midrange scare you. I couldn't notice it but I sure as hell can feel something is up that last thousand RPM before my Raptor lights up (7,500)!

Thanks, still about 2 tenths slower than what I wanted, though. I think I'll need better than 2,500 ft DA's to hits 11's as it sits. If you get one get an auto. The auto 5.0's are FLYING!

Actually I do have in-car vids. I'll try to post 'em up this week.

    Tune go rich up high??

WharfRat, I also have a '11 GT. I put the Boss Manifold on last night and got it dyno'd today. I also have a tune from BBR.

Did you make any dyno pulls above 7000? On my pulls the tune went pretty rich around 7200 - 7300 and the power dropped noticeably. Posted on the LRS forums asking if this was normal.

Your power and torque level off well before the rich spot.
I would rather have it go rich up high. What do you usually shift at?
